Driver/Non-DOT buy in US, Free Classifieds Ads

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Driver is responsible for delivering proper food and supplies as determined by the daily menu and meal count to sites as directed by management.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Essential:
Must be at least 25 years of age at the time of hire and have a minimum of two years of driving experience
Must have a valid driver's license
Must have a current Motor Vehicle Record with no more than the moving violations and no more than two preventalbe accidents within the past twelve month period
Must not have any convictions or citations for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs with the previous five year period
Must not have any citations or convictions for fleeing or attempting to elude police or law enforcement, commission of a felony, aggravated assault with a vehicle, vehicular homicide, hit and run or leaving the scene of an accident
Ability to properly lift a minimum of 75 pounds with minimal effort following required safety guidelines
Ability to read and ferform basic addition
Ability to complete basic vehicle maintenance
Ability to tolerate sudden and extreme changes in temperature
Must have a State Food Handlers permit where required by state law
Marginal:
Experience in delivery, with excellent defensive driving record
Good customer relations skills
POSITION RELATIONSHIPS:
The Driver is directly supervised by the Driver Supervisor and indirectly by the Unit Manager. All problems and concerns must be reported promptly to the appropriate individual
Requirements
1. Pack, load, and deliver food and supplies for the meal according to route instructions
Review clipboard, meal count, and checklist for special instructions
Pack milk and supplies
Load truck or van and go over checklist to make sure everything is packed
Check with Manager for other instructions such as working on the line, etc.
Pick up transport equipment and meal ticket from the previous day
Check and verify the items delivered with the Site Manager
Have the Site Manager sign the meal ticket and note the time of delivery
Have the Site Manager take and log the temperatues on the meal ticket
Report any feedback from the Site Manager to the Unit Manager immediately upon return to the unit
Be polite and courteous
2. Maintain the assigned company vehicle and equipment according to standards
Contact the Manager or designee if you have any problems with traffic, vehicle, etc. for instructions
Stop and fill the vehicle with fuel after all deliveries are made. Check coolant and oil at the service station. Sign gas ticket and put asset number of vehicle on gas ticket with mileage. Return to unit.
Clean vehicle inside daily and outside a minimum of once per week. Report any malfunctions to the Manager. Lock and secure vehicle
Sanitize transport equipment daily in accordance with Health department standards
Sanitize assigned vehicle as instructed
3. Follow all company, client and traffic policies, rules and regulations
Complete all training provided by the company including the driver's handbook
Report any medication taken to the Unit Manager
Drive in a safe and defensive driving manner. Obey all local, state and federal traffic laws
Clock out after checking with the Unit Manager
4. Maintain workplace professionalism
Arrive at work on time
Support company decisions and policies even though you may personally disagree with those decisions
Think in terms of what is best for the company
Establish and meet realistic timetables for accomplishing goals
Continuously evaluate the effectivness and efficiency of ongoing programs for which you are responsible and identify opportunities to improve these programs
Display a friendly and positive attitude toward the job and other persons; perform job duties willingly and without complaint; attempt to understand and respond to needs of supervisor and co-workers; avoid making hostile or unproductive comments
Maintain proper attendance Report to work on time; provide sufficient notice to supervisory personnel prior to unavailability or lateness in accordance with company policy
Dress professionally at all times
Maintain a high level of confidentiality regarding departmental and company business; never releasing or discussing internal matters of a serious or sensitive nature outside the department or company
Ensure that your supervisor is advised on a timely basis of potential problems
